The War Racket
Sobre esta canción
War is not a policy failure — it is a revenue model.
The broken window fallacy — Bastiat's 1850 observation that destruction creates the illusion of prosperity — is the operating manual of the defense contractor: destroy the city, rebuild under contract, repeat. Randolph Bourne wrote in 1918 that war is the health of the state: the one condition under which governments expand without political resistance. Smedley Butler, the most decorated US Marine general of his era, confirmed it in War Is a Racket — he spent decades as muscle for Wall Street and the bankers, not for democracy.
The flag covers the invoice.
PERPETUAL WAR IS NOT FOREIGN POLICY — IT IS A SUBSCRIPTION MODEL.
Letra Oficial
I build the bullet, I manufacture fear. Selling the cure for the pain that is near. Inventing enemies on maps far away To justify the blood at the end of the day. It doesn't matter the cause or the creed I only care for the contract I feed. Destroy the city to build it again. The broken window is the profit of men.
World peace? That crashes my stock. I need the fire, I need the shock. Blood for oil. Peace for terror.
Perpetual war. Immortal trade. The health of the state is the mess we have made. Exporting freedom inside of a shell. Laundering money through a living hell. Kill the poor to enrich the lord. I am the architect of the sword.
They say you fight for the safety of land But you are a pawn in the palm of my hand. If the enemy dies, I create a new one To keep the funding for the next heavy gun. Drones are watching, bombs fall down Distracting the tax of the crumbling town. The flag is the cover for the merchant's plan To expand the industry of killing a man.
"Attention units. Today we liberate this country... Of its natural resources. I mean... of its tyranny. Do not ask why. Your job is to shoot. My job is to cash the check. Remember: Every bullet you fire... Pays for my son's ivy league degree. Shoot generously. For democracy."
Perpetual war. Immortal trade. The health of the state is the mess we have made. Exporting freedom inside of a shell. Laundering money through a living hell. Kill the poor to enrich the lord. I am the architect of the sword.
Fire at will. Spend the budget. Don't ask questions. Hide the cost. War. War. War. Peace is not profitable...
